The Erudine Behaviour Engine is designed to operate in a number of different environments. You'll find installation instructions for each of these detailed in this information guide. In addition to the certified environments, the Erudine Behaviour Engine will run on most Linux and Unix-based operating systems and some other versions of the Windows operating systems. If you want to install the Erudine Behaviour Engine in a different environment to those listed, you are welcome to contact us to discuss it further.
In Windows, administrator privileges are required to install the Erudine Behaviour Engine whereas only user privileges are required to run it. In Unix / Linux environments, the software must be installed by the root user who can then assign use of the software to the appropriate groups or individuals.
During the installation process, you must obtain a licence via email. Therefore, you will need access to an email service to complete the installation process. This does not need to be accessed from the same server on which the software is being installed, although the ability to cut and paste the licence key reduces scope for transposition errors.
